Female Yeast Infection Symptoms

Posted by admin @ 3:35 pm

Welcome back!

Sometimes, female yeast infection symptoms aren’t easy to spot, even if we know of a few definite symptoms that are associated with this problem - but these symptoms can vary from person to person, and some people might not even have any symptoms!

When diagnosing a yeast infection, it helps to really understand our own bodies and notice any shift in conditions, from look, to feel, to smell. If this is a recurring condition, then you’ll know your own female yeast infection symptoms, but if this is the first time, a doctor is recommended to eliminate any more serious possibilities.

That being said, here are a few common female yeast infection symptoms to watch :

- Irritation or redness in the area of the vulva

- Warm or hot skin

- A thick, cheese-like discharge

- Discharge with a yeasty odor

- A rash with a definite border, which happens on moist body parts

Understanding what your own female yeast infection symptoms are can make treatment and identification easier and prevent the infection’s progression by treating it sooner. An infection should serve as a sign that you need to do certain things to avoid making your condition worse or more widespread. Always wash your hands anytime you touch the infected area, and try to keep the area as dry and clean as you can.

If you’re sexually active, don’t engage in sex if you you are experiencing any discomfort, and males can be infected also, so use a condom. Partners can actually be responsible for infecting each other over and over again through sex for a period of years. You definitely don’t want to see how female yeast infection symptoms look when it comes to infecting a male. Alarming!

There is a surefire natural treatment that is guaranteed to get rid of any type of yeast infection in less than 12 hours. If you have been desperately searching for an effective yeast infection cure then you need to read this important message - Click Here Now

Discover here 7 popular home remedies to get rid of a yeast infection naturally. If you’ve already tried mainstream drug-based topical creams etc., you’ll know that oftentimes your infection seems to go away, only to return time and again. It’s reckoned that this is because the drugs only attack the symptoms and not the root cause of yeast infection. And the cause of the infection, the Candida Albicans fungus, can build-up a resistance to the drugs. The outcome is recurring yeast infections.

Which is why more and more women (and men!) are turning to natural home remedies to get rid of their yeast infection. There are many such remedies out there, some more effective than others, some useless.

Here are 7 popular home remedies to help get rid of a yeast infection naturally…

1. Garlic is a natural anti-fungal which can help fight the Candida Albicans fungus. Eat it regularly, one or two cloves per day. For vaginal yeast infection you can also make up a ‘tampon’ with one peeled clove wrapped in clean muslin. Use waxed thread to keep the muslin in place.

2. Apple cider vinegar helps to balance body pH (acidity) and is very popular. Use it to douche the affected area, or drink it. For a douche it’s better to add 2 cups of vinegar to a low, warm bath and gently soak. To drink add 2 tablespoons to a glass of cold water daily.

3. Plain, natural, unsweetened yogurt contains a friendly bacteria that fights the yeast infection fungus. This is another very popular and effective home remedy for yeast infection. Apply to the affected area directly, or, coat a tampon. You can also get to the affected area by using a syringe without the needle.

4. Eat cranberries. They also have anti-bacterial properties. But cranberry juice cocktails and other cranberry juices with added sugar should not be taken. The sugar actually encourages fungal growth. Fresh cranberries are best, but are very tart. You could try unsweetened cranberry juice diluted in water.

5. Tea tree oil is an antiseptic. A few drops in a warm bath can be effective. But it can cause stinging or discomfort for some people. If it does, wash the area with fresh water and stop further use.

6. Wear cotton underwear, never synthetic. Synthetics trap moisture and heat which the Candida fungus just loves!

7. Discontinue sexual intercourse until your yeast infection is completely gone. Sex can transfer the infection to your partner and also seriously hamper your cure.

Although these 7 home remedies can be very effective, on their own, they aren’t enough to get rid of a yeast infection permanently. There are many underlying issues that can help trigger the Candida Albicans fungus to ‘overgrow’ into yeast infections. Things like diabetes, antibiotics, steroids, pregnancy, contraception, poor diet, underlying medical conditions, drugs, etc.

To get rid of a yeast infection fast and permanently you need to address not just the symptoms, but the root cause, and the underlying issues. And all this can be done without expensive drugs with their downsides. It can be done totally naturally.

Rethinking Osteoporosis

Posted by admin @ 11:09 pm

Osteoporosis is a disease that affects the bones due to atrophy and general weakness in the structure of bones. The condition is far more severe in women, although it may also affect men. People who experience it suffer from bodies collapsing from sheer weight due to the inability of the bones to support the body. In other cases, there are various injuries that can happen to the body, such as fractures or a developing a stooping figure that is characteristic of those who suffer from the condition.

What Causes Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is caused by a low bone mass. Because of a low bone mass, the bones become fragile and prone to breakage. In most cases, people are usually unable to tell if they have the disease until they experience fractures, breaks, and other bone injuries.

What are the Symptoms of Osteoporosis?

The most common symptoms of osteoporosis are bone fractures and back pain. In rare cases, there occurs a compression of the spinal cord that results in a decrease in height. In the long run, stooped posture, loss of height, and chronic pain will be experienced. There is also the increased risk of falling associated with aging.

How is Osteoporosis Detected?

Osteoporosis is detected mainly through bone density testing. Once a person is diagnosed to have very low bone density, there is the risk of osteoporosis.

What are the Ways to Prevent Osteoporosis?

While it is true that osteoporosis is a dreaded disease that brings a lot of harmful effects to the body, it may not be too late to protect yourself from the worst. Today, there are ways that can prevent or at least minimize the damage that osteoporosis can cause to the body. There are possible ways of preventing its onset.

The following are some of the ways that will help your body fend off osteoporosis:

* Exercise frequently and regularly. Even the simplest exercise such as brisk walking is proven enough to provide some form of training for the bones, and in the process strengthening them. However, for those who can still manage, aerobics, lifting of weights and resistance exercises are better. Moreover, especially in the case of post menopausal women, exercise helps them in improving posture, gait, as well as decreasing risk of falls.

* Maintain regular intake of Vitamins C and D. Vitamin C is known for aiding bone production processes.  The nutrient can be obtained from fresh fruits and vegetables. However, to make absorption of Vitamin C faster, be sure to accompany it with doses of Vitamin D. Vitamin D can be obtained from sunlight, although, milk, eggs, and dairy products are also good sources of the nutrient.

* Change your lifestyle. Avoid vices such as smoking and drinking which are known to heighten the effect of osteoporosis. Instead, get hooked on the active lifestyle by exercising regularly and feeding the body with the right nutrients.
